The act of painting trees is very relaxing for me. So much so, that sometimes I don't want to stop. You can see that in this painting. It wasn't enough to paint the limbs...I had to keep going with the roots. And what was initially going to be a white wall in the background, well, as you can see, it didn't last. My favorite part of this painting is the vein-like root system. I had just been to a "Bodies" exhibit and you can see its influence here.
